音乐顽童Leo Sayer，1948年出生于英国，60年代末期是英国团体”Terraplane Blues Band”的主唱。

1970年，他参加才艺竞赛，优异的表现得到鼓手David Courtney的欣赏，两个人结为创作搭档，组成”Patches”这个团体，并向当红歌手Faith Adams毛遂自荐，希望能获得出片机会，但后来只有Leo Sayer被签下，成为一名个人歌手，就此展开他的音乐生涯。

1974年，Leo Sayer发行首张专辑[Silverbird]，在英国获得不错的成绩，但是他始终没有机会打入美国市场，一直到1976年发行的专辑，才诞生了他在Billboard单曲榜上的第一支冠军单曲[YOU MAKE ME FEEL LIKE DANCING]，在这首歌的推波助拦下，Leo Sayer终于在美国市场站稳脚步。

进入80年代后，Leo Sayer重新翻唱了Bobby Vee在1961年的经典老歌『More Than I Can Say』，在他浓厚的浪子嗓音诠释之下，大受听众喜爱，不仅获得单曲榜连续5周亚军，同时也是一张金唱片，让Leo Sayer红遍全球。

可惜的是『More Than I Can Say』也是Leo Sayer在80年代的最后一首畅销歌曲，之后的成绩并不理想，但是他在音乐创作上的努力，依然令人敬佩。
